Class 4 and 5 went on a class trip to Frankie and Benny's today to learn about food from around the world for our new topic 'Global Gourmet'. While we were there, we started off by the manager Gemma telling us all about how Frankie and Benny's started and teaching us about the different dishes they sell, and how the food they use is transported to them by ships. For example, the cheesecakes they sell are made in Chicago! We were allowed to make our own fruity cocktails for our drink. We then got to make our very own pizzas, where we had to spread the special sauce on the pizza base ourselves, and choose our own toppings!
We then watched the chef put our pizzas in the stone oven to cook. When they were done, we ate them and they were delicious! Everyone enjoyed the pizza's they made.
Everyone enjoyed the class trip and we learned loads about Italian food that we can use for our topic 'Global Gourmet'. Frankie and Benny's even made us all VIPs for life! Thank you Frankie and Benny's!
