Wild Wood - Andrew Goldsworthy

Class 4 have been very busy today! As part of our topic Wild Wood we have been looking at the artist Andrew Goldsworthy. After watching a video clip about his work the children were inspired to make their very own piece of naturalist art.

Works of art by Andrew Goldsworthy.

The children creating their artwork.

Their final piece of work was amazing! I was very impressed with the childrens' creativity and behaviour! They all worked together as a team to create a fantastic piece of artwork!!!
Well done Class 4!

What we learned today 16/06/2015

Today we took a trip outside to our garden area to see if we could create a human skeleton out of sticks, twigs and branches! We got into two teams and searched the ground for suitable sticks. We then worked together as a group to try and recreate a human skeleton, remembering all of the different bones and their names! Here are some pictures of our work:

Techniquest - Inside Out

On Friday 12th June, Techniquest paid a visit to Llanhari Primary to teach us all about the human body! This was great for Class 4 as our topic this term is 'Bones, Blood and Gory Bits'! We learned about the human brain, the lungs, the digestive system and we also had the chance to investigate our different senses, the bones in our skeleton and even zoomed in close on our skin using a microscope camera! Here are some pictures of us learning:
